There are people- strong, faithful believers, who will go to any defend to ‘explain’ errors. But in this case, it should be asked- Why should there be a need to explain contradictions in a ‘clear book’ which is supposed to be the word of God if that book is to guide humanity? Why is the help of explanations needed to understand God’s words? The best answer to show that the Quran must not be interpreted in any other way than its obvious meaning comes from the Quran itself. The Quran repeatedly claims to be a “clear book” (5:15) “easy to understand” (44:58 , 54:22 , 54:32, 54:40) “explained in detail” (6:114), “conveyed clearly”, (5:16, 10:15) and with “no doubt” in it (2:1). If at all these mistakes had any other meaning and explanation, it should have been clearly mentioned in the Quran.
- Quran mistakes Jesus’ mother Mary for Moses’ sister Mariam
- Quran says shooting stars are missiles to scare Jinns
- Quran says Samaritans lived during Moses’ time, which they didn’t
- Quran says Muhammad went to Masjid-ul-Aqsa, which did not exist in Muhammad’s time
